1. Tell us about yourself! Married? Single? Kids? Hobbies? Interests?
I am married to a hard working firefighter and together we have a beautiful 2 year old son. We just purchased our first home this year and now we are living the typical suburban life. I am very interested in psychology and plan on finishing my B.A in psychology in the next 2 years and then going to graduate school to become a marriage and family counselor. I enjoy helping people and that’s one of the reasons I like doing Brown Bag Parties.
2. Who is your BBP sponsor?
The pole diva herself…Keyna!
3. Why did you choose to join BBP?
I was going to throw a toy party in my home and when I was looking at companies, I thought I can do this. So I talked with a rep from a different company and she was going to do a party for me to help me get my starter kit. This woman had NO enthusiasm and pretty much didn’t follow up with me. I got annoyed, decided to do my own party and kept looking for a new company. I found BBP had a good vibe and the rest is history.
4. What is your favorite TV show?
I love pretty much anything on Bravo and I enjoy watching Keith Olberman on MSNBC every night.
5. Which of our products do you feel most passionate about? Any tips, tricks, or one-liners you use when you demo it?
One of my favorite products is the Kiss of Fire. The strawberry is my favorite. I usually put some on their hand and let them taste and touch it. Then I ask for their hand back and then I blow on it…They are always taken by the warming effect.
6. What is your best booking tip?
Parties are our greatest source of party leads. Focusing on making sure those guests at a party have a great time, will help you be successful in booking parties. Whether it’s 3 girls or 30..Talk up the incentives of having a party and make sure they have a blast. The key is to get them to book while they are still high from all the fun they had. Using booking games and incentives has worked well for me.
7. Favorite singer or band?
Pearl Jam…But now my son is in love with them too. He listens to them all the time and I am pretty sick of it to be honest!
8. If you could have 3 people to your house for dinner (real or fictional, deceased or living), who would they be? And what would you serve?
My Dad (He passed away 10 years ago), Eddie Vedder (The lead singer of Pearl Jam.) and Keith Olberman. I would serve whatever my husband cooked, because I am not very good in the kitchen. If he didn’t cook, we’d order pizza. LOL
9. Tell us about your dream vacation! Where would you go? And who would you take with you?
I would love to go to Italy with my husband
10. What is one thing that EVERY woman needs in her toybox?
The Mona Lisa, I sell it to everyone!
11. What qualities make someone a good leader?
A good leader is able to teach and coach people patiently and effectively. It is also important for a good leader to lead by example.
12. Favorite food or restaurant?
I love food. I should’ve listed that as one of my hobbies. Lol I love Mexican and Italian food best. Also, I LOVE crab legs and shrimp. YUMMY!
13. Who should we aspire to be like? And why?
We should all aspire to be our own personal best. I do think some people should learn to treat each other better and strive to become an overall good person.
14. What is your favorite dessert?
Once again, I love food! I really can’t discriminate against any dessert…That would be cruel.
15. What motivates you?
My family is my everything and they are always my motivation and support. Also, I am motivated by my own need to be my very best.
16. You have ONE MILLION DOLLARS! How do you spend it?
Well…I would first set up two funds for my son. One for college…The other for his medical expenses and therapies. My son has Cerebral Palsy and is unable to sit up, crawl or walk. There are a lot of options out there for his condition, but we are financially limited. Then I would pay off our home, buy my hubby a BMW (he really wants one), invest some money into my BBP business & pay off our debts. Then the rest would be invested and I would save a little for a fun shopping spree!!!
17. What advice would you give a new consultant just starting her business?
Stick with it! I have only been doing this a few months and you do hit highs and lows in the beginning. I didn’t make much in sales for September, but I brought in 2 recruits and October is rockin’ beyond my expectations. It just takes time and constant effort!
18. What is in your CD player or iPod playlist right now?
Actually the sounds of Pearl Jam are echoing through my house at this moment, along with my 2 year old singing along!
19. Can you share one of your BBP goals with us?
I would really like to make executive status by the convention. I keep hearing about these limo rides!
20. Any last words of wisdom???
Positive thinking and determination go a long way and will help you reach your dreams. Talk about your business to EVERYONE! You never know who your next customer will be.
